UAR **Xperience** NBA 2K21 Community Rosters v1
This year I took a different approach to creating the UAR 2k21 Rosters.
After my last release of the NBA 2k20 UAR Rosters I spent some time playing MyTeam in NBA 2k21.
I realized how important Badges and Hot Zones are to players and how much it affects gameplay. Here is a list with all the NBA 2k21 Badges and what they do if you are interested.

The 1st thing I decided to do was review and update the Hot Zones and Badges for most of the Players in NBA 2K21 except for some Rookies and Free Agents who will be updated once the season starts and we can see how they perform.
I then looked at all the Stars and Top Performers on every team and updated their ratings so they can play to our expectations. After that, all the other players were adjusted so I could establish a Tier System for rating players.
I did quite a bit of testing and it was fun playing with the UAR Sliders.
What is not fun, is trying to stop James Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving...when they try to 3pt shoot you to death...LOL
You may have to adjust the UAR Base Sliders based on your skill level but you will get a better idea of what I am trying to do with the Rosters if you use them.
As in the current NBA...Teams will shoot more 3 pointers than mid range shots or driving layups but they will exploit you off screens, picks, down low if you leave your guy open or if there is a mismatch. So that is what you can expect in the UAR Rosters.
Current Player injuries will be added in the v2 or v3 release so enjoy playing with no injuries for now so you can test out each team properly.
I know I missed some stuff so let me know what may need adjusting etc...

Download the files below to install the UAR Rosters.
Simply paste the contents of the zip files into the appropriate folder.
To avoid any conflicts or issues I recommend you do a FRESH INSTALL which means BACKUP your existing Mods Folder and start with an empty Mods Folder.
Some of the portraits are original 2k so they won't show up if you have a modded one already installed.
Once you verify the UAR Rosters are working properly re-install the other Mods you want to use.

I am trying to only add missing CF's, Jerseys and Portraits when necessary this year and focus on updating the Rosters.
The UAR Rosters would not be possible without them and all the other Creators I may have forgot to mention.

ReplyDeleteThere are a few bugs/issues I am experiencing in v1 however:
* The Play Calling UI menus that pop up when using the directional pad on a controller are completely missing. I am unable to call any offensive/defensive plays or do a quick sub-out during gameplay because of this.
* Player interviews (specifically the ones that play when coming back from a break or starting a new quarter) are not loading properly. The audio plays but only a blank/black screen appears.
* There is a long delay after the team I'm controlling scores. Players will run to the opposite side of the court like normal after a bucket, but will then stand around for approx. ~15 seconds or more, waiting for the referee to give the CPU controlled team the ball to pass back into play. I am also unable to control any player I have selected when this occurs.
* Long delay for replays to show up after I score, or they don't load at all. This could also be related to the aforementioned bug above (i.e. the players just standing around waiting).
* Occasional camera issues, especially for cutaway scenes (i.e. cheerleaders will come out on the court and dance but the camera stays at the same angle used during gameplay instead of cutting away to the stylized camera that usually plays during these moments).
* The game crashed to desktop while attempting to exit back to the main menu after a match. Experienced other crashes, usually while waiting for the game to load in between quarters.
I am playing 2k21 through the Epic Games launcher, if that matters. I also have the game installed on a Samsung NVMe SSD, so load times for the game are typically quick. All available files were downloaded and installed correctly and both the online roster and slider options were downloaded and used, as per instructions.
I have used other mods for 2k21 before (including some included in this collection) without any problems, so I'm assuming there's something going on with this mod itself. All traces of previous mods were deleted and the game files were reverified before attempting to install your files, so there shouldn't be any conflicts on my end there either.
Really looking forward to using this mod more once these issues get ironed out though, because it's exactly the kind of this I've been looking for! Cheers!
I suggest you do a FRESH INSTALL of your MODS Folder.
DeleteMake a backup of your existing one.
I also provided with the UAR Rosters the Hook files which go in your main NBA 2k21 Directory. You may want to re-install the Hook you initially had since you probably needed a special one for Epic Games.
Sounds like you have a conflict somewhere...Especially when you mentioned UI issues.
I have tested the Mod before releasing it so none of the things you mentioned are happening for me.
May be an Epic Games issue since I use Steam.
The Missing CF & Required Files Zip...has the Hook file and Hook folder so that is what you will want to replace with what you were using for Epic Games.
The Hook Files and Folder you should be removing and re-installing with Epic Games Compatible version are located in the main NBA 2k21 Folder.

DeleteJust wanted to update you, as I am still having issues with this mod. I'll try my best to explain what and how I am installing things to see if we can figure out what the issues might be.
To preface, I completely uninstalled 2k21 after deleting all previous mod files, then reinstalled the game. Not a big deal, I just wanted a fresh install of the game to make absolute sure nothing would conflict with installing this mod again.

At the bottom of that page is a video tutorial that shows how to install roster mods on both Steam and Epic. I used that as reference for installing your mod on Epic. Since I'm using your online rosters, I skipped the steps for using offline roster files.
To further iterate, I unzipped and copied everything from the Missing CF & Required Files zip file first into my main NBA 2k21 game directory. After that, I copied the Courts & Portraits files over to the Mods folder in that directory, then did the same with the Team Jerseys files. Nothing had to be overwritten.
With only your mod installed, I started up the game, loaded up your online roster and custom options and started a Play Now game. Most of the bugs I previously mentioned were still there:
- The DPAD play calling menus (Gameplay HUD, Substitutions, Quick Plays, Points of Emphasis) are still missing. The Xbox button icons DO appear when using LB/RB however, so it's just the menus not working.
- The game still crashes to desktop while attempting to exit back to the main menu during a match. I can confirm this also occurs during the "Saving VC earnings" screen after completing a match too, as I have seen others report.
- Replays are still bugged. There's a long delay before they play, or they don't play at all (for reference, I have ACTION REPLAYS and AFTER BASKET CAMERA CUTS both set to OFTEN in the game settings).
Actually, most of the other bugs I mentioned in my previous post seem directly related to whatever is going on with Replays (like players standing around waiting, black screen interviews, etc).
Anyway, that particular roster mod I linked above from NBA2kspecialist (with the video) is the only other mod I have used on 2k21 before trying to switch over to yours. It worked without issues on Epic, so I tried using the NBA2kHook and dinput8.dll files from that, as you had suggested in your replies. All the same issues occurred though.
By the way, judging by that video, it seems that NBA2kspecialist roster mod works universally across both Steam and Epic versions (installation just gets tricky when using offline rosters). The reason I am mentioning this is because I think your mod would likely work on both Epic and Steam regardless. There doesn't seem to be any discernable differences between platforms other than where the main NBA2k21 game directory is located. I've also not ran into any of the problems that are outlined when googling "NBA 2k21 Epic Games Issues" either.
I don't doubt this is working perfectly on your end, so maybe it just needs repackaged, like you've said in other replies. Just trying to help you troubleshoot because I don't want to give up on this mod yet! The amount of thought and detail that went into this is crazy and the stuff that does work is fantastic, so I really want to use it.

DeleteI am having trouble with crashes. After I finish playing a myleague game, the saving earnings to 2k server screen will load and then my game will crash. Wondered if you had experienced this as well?
ReplyDelete2k Servers were intermittently disconnecting yesterday. I was getting disconnected during gameplay and had to restart my game to get back online a couple times. Did not get my VC because of that.
DeleteI'm having the same issue as the OP. Game crashes at the same spot every time. To make sure, I tested without any mods installed and this crash doesn't happen, so it's not the 2k servers.
DeleteThe issue you are describing about crashing has to do with a Mod you are using.
DeleteI had that same issue in NBA 2k20 and it drove me crazy until I figured it out.
In my case it ended up being a watermark I was using that wasn't compatible with 2k20.
If you are saying you installed the 2k21 UAR Rosters in a clean Mod Folder and your game is crashing...let me know.

If you are having issues and did not do a FRESH INSTALL like I recommended in the post.
ReplyDeleteI can't help you.
Just make a copy / backup of your Mods Folder and install the UAR Rosters in a new Mod Folder.
Then run the game so you can see that it is working.
It's the easiest way to fix your issue and when you re-install your other Mods you can figure out what is causing the issues if you still have any.
I have tested the UAR Rosters in MyLeague and Play Now and have played with every team for weeks with no crashes or issues.
Do a Google Search for "NBA 2k21 Epic Games issues" since that has nothing to do with me and I can't fix that. You will find the solution or the required files you need to fix it.
When will it be updated?

Hello I already downloaded your files and some rook doesn't have cf(Invinsible) I think I miss out this missing cf & required files in this article but when I click the link It's missing in mediafire, is my thoughts correct that this missing cf & req files contains rookies?
